A new concept in the high pressure pumping, to improve flowrate, reduce mechanical loads, be easily maintained, all in a smaller footprint, when compared to existing oilfield pumps.
Based on modular elements of the overall construction, i.e. drive, fluid end block and individual sizing of the fluid end and quantity, the design provides a highly customizable design to suit individual requirements.
Comparing a given horsepower the design can improve flowrate, reduce rod load or result in a slower running pump. Consult GARTCEH LLC for specific details.
However, the overall concept is to improve the pumping performance over current pumping units. Indeed, subject to configuration it is possible to utilize one GARTEH pump to replace 2 existing pumps resulting in less floor space or more capacity per pump than conventional.
Consideration throughout the design phase means that consumable items are easily accessible, e.g. check valves are all accessible directly above the fluid ends.
The fluid end blocks are simply machined reducing fatigue cracking potential for example, and when they do need replacing, simply unbolt from the main fluid end module and replace. The drive units detach form the pistons and able to be slid to one side providing unrestricted access to the fluid ends / liners / pistons / sealing. Check valves can be accessed directly above the fluid ends with any restraint.
A new concept in the high pressure pumping, to improve flowrate, reduce mechanical loads, be easily maintained, all in a smaller footprint, when compared to existing oilfield pumps. The design is also highly scalable meaning bespoke performance pumps can be easily achieved. Comprising of a number of ‘standard’ modules, customization of the unit is easily achieved.
Located at either side of the central fluid end block modules the unit converts rotary input drive into a reciprocating double acting linear arrangement to power double acting pistons.
Configurable as a Triplex, quintuplex and septuplex combined with a double acting piston motion, flow rates can be increased; rod loads reduced while maintaining pressure capacity.
When comparing comparable horsepower pumps the GARTECH design results in a smaller footprint.
